With Jordy Nelson (knee) expected to miss a couple of more weeks and Brett Swain (knee) headed for injured reserve, Allen will act as the No. 4 receiver this week. The former Mississippi College star won’t have any fantasy value.

The Packers only have three healthy receivers right now with Jordy Nelson and Brett Swain both out. Pass-catching tight end Jermichael Finley is also out. The Packers didn’t work out any free agents Monday. Expect some extra targets for No. 3 receiver James Jones.

While we don’t ordinarily trust Eric Mangini’s personnel evaluation, this is another indictment of Robiskie’s skills and lack of development. Allen is a better special teamer than Robiskie, but you’d think the No. 36 overall pick wouldn’t have trouble being active on game days for a 1-10 team.

Cleveland has been very concerned with its special teams production, and Allen can contribute in that area. He won’t make an impact at wide receiver.

Jordy Nelson is healthy again, so Allen is probably headed back to the practice squad. He caught no passes during his three week stint with the big club.

There isn’t a surprise in this group. Francies figures to have an outside chance at the Browns’ practice squad. Allen could get a look there as well.
