  • FA Defensive Back #21
Second-year man Thomas DeCoud has been penciled in as the Falcons’ starting strong safety.
With William Moore (knee) out two-to-four weeks, DeCoud is the clear choice for the job. Jamaal Fudge isn’t going to push him. We’ll see what happens when Moore returns to full strength.

  • ATL Defensive Back
The Falcons failed to tender safeties Jamaal Fudge, Charlie Peprah, and Antoine Harris, making them unrestricted free agent.
Atlanta is cleaning house at safety behind starters Erik Coleman and Thomas DeCoud. Any of the above could be re-signed later to a minimum-type deal.
  • ATL Defensive Back
    Falcons re-signed S Jamaal Fudge to a one-year contract.
Fudge backed up Lawyer Milloy at strong safety last season, but he sees most of his time on special teams. The former undrafted free agent is very undersized at 5'9/196.
