49ers selected WR Junior Bergen with the No. 252 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The former running back transitioned to wide receiver prior to the 2022 season and played the final three years at Montana out wide, peaking at 59 receptions for 791 yards and five touchdowns his junior season. Bergen (5'11, 184) did not receive a combine invite but tested to a 4.56 40-yard dash time, 10' broad jump, and 36.6" vertical at his pro day. It appears unlikely he immediately contributes at the wide receiver position but does bring an interesting profile to Kyle Shanahan’s offense considering his experience at both running back and wide receiver, particularly intriguing following the departure of Deebo Samuel earlier in the offseason.
