Free agent P Jy Bond will work out for the Jets.
The former Aussie rules veteran has had stints with the Dolphins and Giants, but has yet to punt in an NFL game. His claim to fame is the ability to punt with either leg.

    Dolphins released P Jy Bond.
A former Australian Rules player, Bond has a big leg but is still far too inconsistent kicking with the American pigskin.

    Giants signed P Jy Bond.
A former Aussie Rules player, Bond is likely nothing more than a camp leg. Even with the Giants and veteran Jeff Feagles at a contract impasse, both sides expect him to return for the 2010 season.

Aussie rules P Jy Bond, signed by the Giants last week, kicked with both legs during his tryout.
“First time I’ve ever seen it,” said GM Jerry Reese. “He kicks with his left foot on the pooch punts and he kicks with his right foot when he spirals the thing.” While impressive, it won’t be enough to get Bond the job once Jeff Feagles re-signs.

    Giants re-signed P Jeff Feagles to a one-year contract.
Feagles, who recently turned 44, was locked in a contract standoff with the team last month. Now in his 23rd NFL season, Feagles’ average has fallen off, but he remains one of the best in the league at planting punts inside the 20-yard line.

Giants P Jeff Feagles is expected to announce his retirement from football next week.
The 44-year-old is dealing with unspecified “physical issues.” Feagles’ performance fell off last year in his 22nd season. The Giants protected themselves by drafting East Carolina punter Matt Dodge in the seventh round. They also have former Australian rules player Jy Bond on the roster.

Giants waived TE Carson Butler, S Vince Anderson, LBs Micah Johnson and Lee Campbell, and P Jy Bond.
Hakeem Nicks will be sad to see Anderson go; Nicks lit him up at minicamp. Johnson, a onetime top prospect at Kentucky, should’ve entered the draft after his junior season. He struggled as a senior and wasn’t picked in April.
