    Bengals released DT Lawrence Guy.
Guy was signed to the active roster in Cincinnati in mid-September, playing 91 defensive snaps across four appearances for the Bengals. The 15-year NFL veteran could be on his way out of the league after playing the previous seven seasons with the Patriots.
  • CIN Defensive End #93
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Bengals are signing DE Lawrence Guy to their active roster.
The 34-year-old had been with the Patriots since 2017, serving as one of their defensive mainstays. However, he was released in the offseason after generating just 38 tackles and six total pressures in 2023. With both B.J. Hill and Sheldon Rankins getting injured in the Bengals’ Week 2 loss to the Chiefs, the team needed healthy bodies on the defensive line, and Guy started 111 of the 118 regular season and playoff games he played for the Patriots, so he has shown a knack for staying on the field.
  • FA Defensive End #93
    Patriots released DL Lawrence Guy.
Guy totaled 38 tackles for the Patriots last season and has been a staple along their defensive line since joining the team in 2017. A two-time Walter Peyton Man of the Year nominee, Guy will be 34 at the start of next season but should still have a strong free-agent market. Per PFF, Guy generated just six pressures last season despite playing a normal allotment of snaps. He’ll likely be looking to join a contender ahead of next season.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
Patriots re-signed DT Lawrence Guy to a four-year contract.
Guy turned 31 on St. Patrick’s Day last week and has been in New England since 2017 after bouncing around the league. He’s settled in as a key cog in coach Bill Belichick’s defense up front and routinely grades out as one of Pro Football Focus’ top interior defenders. He’s found a home there and is now signed through his age-34 campaign. The Patriots should be much improved in 2021.

  • FA Defensive Tackle
Colts signed DE Lawrence Guy off the Packers’ practice squad.
Guy is a 2011 seventh-round pick out of Arizona State. He’ll be depth for the Colts with Cory Redding (knee) banged up.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
Colts signed DE Lawrence Guy and OT Xavier Nixon.
Guy played in nine games for the Colts in 2012, finishing with 21 tackles. Bringing him back is a sign that Ricky Jean-Francois (groin) might not be ready for Week 4. Nixon is a prospect that was signed off the Redskins practice squad.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
The Washington Post’s Master Tesfatsion reports the Redskins have expressed interest in free agent DE Lawrence Guy.
A key rotational piece for the Ravens’ defensive line, Guy appeared in all 16 games last season and received very strong marks from Pro Football Focus for his run defense. The Redskins need help up front, especially against the run, and even more so if DE Chris Baker leaves as a free agent. Guy turns 27 next Friday and could be a nice get as a second-tier addition.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
Patriots signed DE Lawrence Guy, formerly of the Ravens, to a four-year, $13.4 million contract.
He can earn another $5.6 million via playing-time incentives. It’s a nice addition for the Pats, who were looking for help up front after letting Chris Long and Jabaal Sheard walk. The former seventh-round pick was stout against the run last year, grading out as PFF’s No. 10 run-defender out of 51 qualifiers at 3-4 defensive end. Guy, who turns 27 next week, was also pursued by the Redskins.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
Free agent DE Lawrence Guy is visiting the Patriots on Friday.
The Redskins were also poking around Guy earlier this week but are probably out of the mix after signing both Terrell McClain and Stacy McGee on Thursday. Guy, 27 next week, appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens last season and was nails against the run. He seems like a perfect Patriots “do your job” addition.
  • FA Defensive Tackle
Free agent DE Lawrence Guy is visiting the Jets on Thursday.
Guy played 262 snaps between the Chargers and Ravens last season. He’d just be a body for the Jets. He’s a mediocre run stopper, and boasts no semblance of a pass rush.
