Titans reporter Sam Phalen reports Luke Steckel left the organization to take a coaching role with the Chicago Bears.
Steckel served as the tight ends coach for two seasons in Tennessee before recently seeing his role changed to run game analyst. While it is difficult to say whether the move was a promotion or demotion considering the role was introduced to the franchise earlier this month, it’s safe to say he was less than pleased now that he has left the franchise. Bears head coach Matt Eberflus continues to bolster his staff as the team moves forward with a full rebuild.

The Chargers have interviewed Titans TEs coach Luke Steckel for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
37 years old, Steckel’s biggest claim to fame appears to be being a Princeton alum. Steckel did play football in college, while his father is a former NFL assistant. He has overlapped numerous coaching staffs in Tennessee since 2013, beginning as “offensive assistant/special assistant to the head coach” before ascending to his current TEs coach perch. Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, he is “highly intelligent and widely respected by players and peers.”
