New England has solid depth on the defensive line, but Hill, a second-rounder in 2004, is running out of chances to make an impact.

No alchohol or drugs were found in Hill’s body after initial tests.

The Coast Guard sent out a boat and helicopter to look for Hill, who is believed to have fallen off his jetski Sunday night along with a female companion. “A good Samaritan on the bank heard yells for help,” a Coast Guard officer says. “They found a woman clinging onto a piling near the shore.” Hill is said to have disappeared into the darkness at around 9PM.

A strong current reportedly knocked the two off their watercrafts and the 24-year-old Hill helped the woman get to a buoy before drifting away. Neither was wearing a life preserver. Hill’s family and friends continue to hold out hope that he’ll be found.

His body was recovered at 2:15PM by a drag net. Hill is believed to have saved the life of a woman he was accompanied by before getting caught in the lake’s current and drifting away. The 6-6/300-pound lineman was only 24.

The former second-rounder may be in danger of getting cut.
