He’s seeing a nutritionist to avoid the problem again. Good news for Jacksonville’s offense.

With Mike Pearson also injured, Jacksonville was missing both of it’s tackles. They did well considering.

Williams has started 100 of the 105 games he’s played in his 10-year career, with 88 of those starts coming at tackle. Though Williams’ play has fallen off the past two seasons, he’s still better Ryan Clady insurance than swinging gate Tyler Polumbus.

Coach Jack Del Rio indicated the injury is not serious. Williams will be re-evaluated Monday.

''I probably won’t even need an MRI,’' Williams said. ''I’ll be all right.’'

Barnes was involved in a one-car accident on Saturday. Last season he was suspended for one game following a DWI arrest in November. He is also dealing with an ankle sprain, though Barnes said that should not hold him out of action. Maurice Williams would replace Barnes if he sits out.

If Barnes doesn’t play, Chiefs RE Jared Allen could have his way with Maurice Williams. Williams has been a starter before in his seven-year career, but mostly on the right side. Allen has been on a tear since being reinstated.

Williams, who the Jags reportedly tried to trade on draft day, agreed to a pay cut in return for having the last two years of his contract voided. He will make $2 million instead of $3.5 million this season, and will be a free agent at the end of this season.
