Browns starting CB Michael Lehan missed Saturday’s game with a leg injury.
The Browns are seriously thin at cornerback with Daylon McCutheon struggling with migraines. Gary Baxter was also hurt in the game, but should be okay.
  • NO Defensive Back
Dolphins CB Michael Lehan underwent arthroscopic surgery for a knee injury.
He’ll be out for 2-3 weeks. Lehan was the favorite for the fourth cornerback spot in Miami following Will Poole’s injury.
  • FA Defensive Back #34
The Dolphins have begun transitioning Travis Daniels to safety.
Daniels, whose skill set is more suited for safety than cornerback, might be an option to overtake Travares Tillman later on in the season. CB Michael Lehan could now become a starter until Andre’ Goodman (shoulder) returns.

The Dolphins have moved Renaldo Hill from free to strong safety.
A shakeup in the secondary also has Michael Lehan taking over as Miami’s right corner in place of Travis Daniels. Daniels is now at free safety, replacing Hill. Andre’ Goodman (shoulder) will man the nickel until he’s 100 percent. All the instability probably means Miami will continue to struggle in pass defense.
  • NO Defensive Back
Dolphins re-signed CB Michael Lehan to a three-year, $4.95 million contract.
The deal includes $2.1 million in the first year. Lehan turned around what began as an injury riddled career by emerging as a starter opposite Will Allen in 2007. The new front office was likely pleased with what it saw on film of Lehan, who figures to be the Dolphins’ nickel back at worst in 2008.

Dolphins CB Michael Lehan’s rehabilitation from a dislocated ankle is way behind schedule.
When Lehan injured the ankle in June OTAs, coach Tony Sparano said he’d be out a couple of weeks. Two months later, he can’t run without a limp or come to a quick stop. The team will be lucky if he’s ready by Week 1.

Dolphins DBs Renaldo Hill (ACL surgery) and Michael Lehan (ankle) have been practicing at training camp.
Hill is running with the third-team defense and seems unlikely to be on the final roster. Andre Goodman and Will Allen appear locked in as Miami’s starting corners, leaving Lehan to battle Travis Daniels for nickel work.
  • NO Defensive Back
Dolphins CB Michael Lehan (ankle) has resumed practicing with the team.
Lehan missed all of training camp, which likely cost him any chance to start. Will Allen and Andre’ Goodman are entrenched as Miami’s top two corners.
