    Colts released S Ronnie Harrison
The Colts signed Harrison to a one-year deal in mid-August, giving him just a few weeks to earn a roster spot out of camp. The former Browns safety played in 16 games for the Browns last season but played on a career-low 259 snaps. In addition to Harrison, the Colts also released WR Michael Strachan.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #84
Colts WR Mike Strachan (concussion) is inactive for Week 15 vs the Vikings.
Strachan will spend at least one game in the concussion protocol after going down in Week 13. Also inactve for the Colts are QB Sam Ehlinger, CB Brandon Facyson DE Ben Banogu, C Wesley French, and DT Chris Williams.

  • IND Wide Receiver
Colts WR Alec Pierce (concussion) won’t play in Week 2 against the Jaguars.
He returned to practice on a limited basis for Week 2, but the Colts will give him another week. Ashton Dulin and Mike Strachan will both see more snaps against a rough Jaguars pass defense and make for intriguing DFS dart throws, especially if Michael Pittman (quad) also doesn’t play.

  • WAS Wide Receiver #84
Colts removed WR Mike Strachan (knee) from the active/PUP list.
Strachan missed the first two weeks of practice after undergoing knee surgery. The 2021 seventh-rounder is competing for one of the Colts’ final receiver spots. Strachan may not be ready for Saturday’s game with the Lions but could return for Week 3 of the preseason.

  • WAS Wide Receiver #84
The Athletic’s Zak Keefer reports WR Mike Strachan will return by the end of training camp after undergoing knee surgery.
Strachan, selected by the Colts in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, was active for just six games as a rookie. In college, he was hyper productive, catching 127 passes for 2,332 yards with 27 touchdowns in three years at Division II Charleston. He likely won’t get significant snaps this year unless the Colts struggle with receivers injuries.

  • Colts placed LB Darius Leonard, DE Tyquan Lewis, S Rodney McLeod and WR Michael Strachan on active/PUP list.
These players can be pulled off PUP at any time during camp. Leonard had back surgery and it was never expected that he’d be ready for the start of camp. Lewis missed the back half of the season with a knee injury. Strachan hadn’t been cleared to practice yet. McLeod ended the season on IR after an ACL tear. The team also placed DT Eric Johnson on the non-football injury list.

  • WAS Wide Receiver #84
Colts WR Mike Strachan has yet to be cleared to practice.
The 2021 seventh-rounder has yet to be cleared after missing the Colts’ offseason program. Strachan was among the league leaders in receiving last preseason, winning a spot on the Week 1 roster, but was active for just six games as a rookie. The second-year wideout is expected to compete for the Colts’ No. 5 role when healthy.

  • DAL Wide Receiver #11
Colts declared Parris Campbell inactive for Week 2 against the Rams.
Campbell was a late addition to the injury report this week, first appearing Friday with an abdomen injury. Michael Pittman, who also appeared on the Friday injury report with an ankle, is active for Week 2. Campbell’s absence should mean more targets for Pittman and Zach Pascal. It could also open up playing time for seventh round rookie Mike Strachan, who saw the field for limited snaps in Week 1. The Colts also declared OL Will Fries, CB Xavier Rhodes, DE Isaac Rochell, T Braden Smith and DT Chris Williams inactive for Week 2.

  • LV Defensive End #95
Colts signed No. 21 overall pick DE Kwity Paye to a four-year contract.
Second-round DE Dayo Odeyingbo, fifth-round S Shawn Davis, seventh-round WR Mike Strachan and seventh-round OG Will Fries have also signed their rookie pacts. As is the case with all first-rounders, Paye’s deal includes a fifth-year team option for 2025. If exercised, fifth-year options are now fully guaranteed. Paye (6'4/272) is a former high school running back who was a member of Bruce Feldman’s “Freak-List.” Paye has a thick frame that channels tremendous power into his bull rush. Vicious hands and natural athleticism help him shoot gaps on run plays. He’s difficult to dislodge once his base is established and will chase down plays from behind. He put on a show at his pro day workout, running a 4.52 40-yard dash, posting a 35 ½” vertical, 33” arms and a Herculean 36 bench reps.

  • WAS Wide Receiver #84
Colts selected Charleston WR Mike Strachan with the No. 229 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Strachan (6'5/226) caught 127 passes for 2,332 yards with 27 touchdowns in three years at Division II Charleston. He had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019 before Charleston’s 2020 season was postponed due to COVID-19. Strachan is a size/speed project the Colts hope to develop into a vertical threat. He’ll likely open his rookie year on the practice squad.
