He’ll test his injured knee at practice on Wednesday and Thursday to confirm his status.

Harris played only 25 snaps in his return from knee surgery last week. He’s 100% and will play more this week.

It’s the first action of the season for Harris. With Ted Washington and Warren Sapp clogging the middle, this should be a breakout season for the third-year linebacker.

Dwayne Rudd would start the first two games as the defense’s signal-caller.

Head coach Norv Turner said he expects Harris to get more playing time against the Texans but wouldn’t say whether the linebacker would start.

The Vikings could have held out for more, but obviously wanted to move Moss. They will be tempted to replace Moss with either Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards early in the draft and filled a huge need with a run-stopping linebacker in Harris.

The former first-round pick was signed just five days ago. He’ll have a chance to catch on somewhere else. Meanwhile, the Raiders are expected to re-sign undrafted linebacker Chris O’Neill.
