Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. will make his first appearance of the 2026 season on Sunday.

Porter is active for the Cowboys less than a week after joining the team in a trade with the Steelers. Porter was listed with a back injury while in Pittsburgh, but his contract impasse with the team was seen as the true reason for his inactivity and Porter was not on the injury report for the Cowboys.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Porter is expected to play a limited number of snaps against the Texans in his Cowboys debut, but his presence should be welcomed for a defense that has struggled to find consistency over the first month of the season.

Bill Belichick’s second season at North Carolina started at 2-0. After losses to Clemson and Notre Dame, he’s now 2-2.

The Irish beat the Tar Heels on Saturday, 37-26.

After North Carolina returned the opening kickoff of the second half for a touchdown cut the score to 21-20, Notre Dame pulled away.

With seven minutes left, Notre Dame extended its lead to 37-20.

North Carolina faces 5-0 Pitt next Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. It’s the site of two of Belichick’s AFC Championship wins, in 2001 and 2004 with the Patriots.

The Tar Heels then play Duke, Syracuse, Miami, Connecticut, Louisville, Virginia, and NC State.

The NFL fined Patriots receiver Mack Hollins $34,441 for his actions on the same play against the Jaguars.

Hollins was docked $11,941 for taunting and $22,500 for unnecessary roughness involving his helmet.

With 13:32 left in the fourth quarter, Hollins caught a 9-yard pass on third-and-10. Officials threw a flag for taunting after he gestured toward Jaguars safety Eric Murray.

He was not penalized for illegal use of the helmet.

Hollins led the Patriots with six catches for 87 yards.

After a January 2025 game against the Broncos, the league fined him twice for taunting. He lost $11,255 for stepping over cornerback Patrick Surtain and $6,736 for standing over receiver Marvin Mims after a punt.

Bills wide receiver DJ Moore and safety Damar Hamlin had limited participation again Friday, but neither has a game status.

Moore will play through a shoulder injury and Hamlin a ribs injury.

The Bills list defensive lineman T.J. Sanders (illness) as doubtful after a second consecutive limited practice. He did not practice Wednesday.

Running back Ray Davis, who was added to the report Thursday with a hamstring injury, was limited Friday and is questionable. Cornerback Christian Benford (toe) also is questionable after three consecutive missed practices.

The Patriots will be missing a couple of defensive starters in Buffalo on Sunday.

Head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters at his Friday press conference that cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore have been ruled out for Week 4. Both players are dealing with shoulder injuries that kept them from practicing this week.

Gonzalez had eight tackles and five passes defensed in the first three weeks of the season. Charles Woods is expected to start in his place against the Bills.

Barmore has four tackles, a sack and three quarterback hits this season. Milton Williams, Cory Durden, and Joshua Farmer will take on more responsibility on the defensive line with Barmore out of action.
