If the Jets select Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey with pick No. 2, the Cardinals and Titans will both be considering Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love with their subsequent picks, according to Rapoport. Other teams picking inside the top ten will have interest in dealing for one of those picks and taking Reese. Rapoport mentioned the Saints and Chiefs as teams looking for an edge rusher that would be motivated to move into picks No. 3 or 4 should Reese fall past No. 2. The early pass-rushing selections are going to be “one of the biggest pressure points” of the draft in Round 1.

Tyson’s stock continues to tick upward following his private workout on April 17. The Saints pick at No. 8 overall. The Saints hosted Tyson for a visit on April 10. Underhill described Tyson as being “by far, the most talented wide receiver in this whole entire class,” and he believes Tyson would be “enticing” for the Saints. Underhill also identified the Giants, via pick No. 5, as a potential landing spot. Tyson would assume a fantasy-friendly role on either team. Nothing is guaranteed, and things change quickly during draft week, but Tyson seemingly has a shot to be drafted in the top 10.

In a video report from earlier today, Venerable outlined a potential trade in which the Saints acquire the No. 3 overall pick from the Cardinals in exchange for the Nos. 8, 42 and 73 overall picks. He notes “no 2027 draft capital is exchanged with New Orleans,” and told viewers, “I think that’s the preference for these teams — in fact, I know it.” Per Venerable, the Cardinals “are looking to do their damage” in the draft this year, rather than next year. It sounds like Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort needs to leave the draft with meaningful personnel upgrades. Venerable notes that the Cardinals recently hosted Miami OT Francis Mauigoa (back) for a top-30 visit. He would be in play for them in this scenario. Yesterday, Venerable reported that the Cardinals have discussed a potential trade back with the Chiefs as well. He believes both the Saints and Chiefs are targeting either Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey or Ohio State LB Arvell Reese.

Cooper, 22, continues to make the rounds this pre-draft cycle with the draft just over two weeks away. The versatile, do-it-all receiver who has drawn comparisons to Deebo Samuel is viewed as a fringe first-round prospect and could immediately step in to help whatever team drafts him. Cooper was a full-time slot receiver in 2025 with the Hoosiers, but can work on the outside, and would pair well opposite Chris Olave and would face little competition from incumbent receivers for snaps. Cooper caught 69 passes for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, and has totaled over 1,500 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns since 2024.

The former No. 29 overall pick tallied 4.5 sacks as a part-time player in 2023. He then upped that total to 7.5 in his second season while also playing more snaps. Bresee followed up the breakout campaign with just 2.5 sacks on 30 pressures last year. He also missed two games with a knee injury at the end of the season. Picking up his fifth-year option means the Saints are counting on a return to form for Bresee in the upcoming season.

The complicating factor about Olave is his concussion history, which leads Paras to believe the Saints are interested in paying Olave and taking on some risk, “but not all of it.” It’s possible this hinges on the guaranteed money as much as the salary. Nine receivers currently make at least $30 million a season, so it’s a reasonable target for Olave despite the receiver missing nine games in 2024 due to concussions.

In other words, the Saints want Kamara to take a paycut after a down and injury-riddled year as he enters his age-31 season. The Saints could also still release him or trade him, per Paras. Kellen Moore said Kamara is “certainly on the roster” on Monday, but it sounds like that might not be the case much longer.

Olave is in the fifth and final year of his rookie contract and coming off a season in which he went for 100-1,163-9 while appearing in 16 games. Olave has played in 15 or more games in three of his four years in the league, and bounced back nicely after playing in just eight games in 2024. The unquestioned WR1 for the Saints should secure a long-term extension before the new season, and will be in the high-end WR2 mix for fantasy managers in 2026.

If we’re reading between the lines, Moore didn’t exactly give a “yes” or “no” answer, but he did say that Kamara is “part of the running back room” and added that the combination of Kamara and Travis Etienne is “a great situation” for the team. Moore was evasive about Kamara’s future with the team when asked about it earlier this month, and there have been rumors that the soon-to-be 31-year-old back may opt to retire this offseason. Kamara’s opportunities are expected to drop significantly with Etienne now in the building, but he could still see plenty of usage as a third-down option if he remains on the team in 2026. For now, Kamara is a Saint, but Moore’s quote didn’t exactly instill confidence that he’ll remain with the team this season.

Wilson spent last season with the Dolphins, attempting 11 passes as the backup to both Tua Tagovailoa and Quinn Ewers. He joins a quarterback room that is likely to start Tyler Shough with Spencer Rattler in the mix as backup. Wilson is only a month older than Shough, but will be the “journeyman” presence heading into training camp. The former Jets first-rounder is only worth rostering in the deepest of Superflex leagues if injuries give him a starting chance.
