One of the NFL’s best available free agent offensive linemen could be heading to New England.
Free agent Andre Gurode, who can play either guard or center, has scheduled a visit with the Patriots, Ian R. Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports.
Gurode was released by the Cowboys this week and has reportedly drawn interest from a few teams, including the Lions. Some teams may have interest but want to hold off until after Week 1 to sign him, because if he’s on a Week 1 roster his salary will be guaranteed.
If Gurode signs in New England, Albert Haynesworth will get a chance to step on his head every day at practice.
