The Broncos’ three 2015 seventh-round picks are now under contract.
Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian, Tulane cornerback Taurean Nixon and Oklahoma State safety Josh Furman have signed their deals with Denver, the club said Friday. The three rookies were selected with picks Nos. 250-252.
Siemian (6-3, 220) threw for 2,214 yards with seven TDs and 11 interceptions in 2014. He will compete to be the third quarterback on the roster or to stick on the practice squad.
Nixon (5-10, 187) notched 31 tackles, broke up four passes and recorded one interception last season. Furman (6-1, 210) played linebacker in his final collegiate campaign, recording 64 tackles, seven sacks, four passes broken up and one interception.
The Broncos have now signed all of their third-day draft picks. Only defensive end Shane Ray (Round One), offensive tackle Ty Sambrailo (Round Two) and tight end Jeff Heuerman (Round Three) remain unsigned.
