Browns Sign George Foster

The Cleveland Browns signed former Detroit Lions offensive tackle George Foster, a former Denver Broncos first-round draft pick, the team announced today. A former No. 20 overall draft pick from the University of Georgia, Foster had played for the Lions for the past two seasons and started a dozen games. With the Broncos, Foster started 57 games, including every game in 2004 and 2005, after the 6'5,” 338-pounder was selected in the 2003 NFL Draft. No contract terms were released. The Browns also announced one other transaction today, cutting rookie safety Jason Venson.
