Last season, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer missed an entire week of practice with an elbow injury before getting the start against the Rams.

Palmer shredded the Rams defense in that game as the Cardinals rolled to a 30-10 victory and the Cardinals are likely hoping they’ll get a similar performance this weekend from their quarterback.

Palmer was limited in practice all three days this week because of a shoulder problem. Head coach Bruce Arians said, via Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, that it is a “nerve thing” and expressed confidence that Palmer would be in the lineup against the Giants on Sunday.

He’s officially listed as questionable, as is running back Andre Ellington. Ellington is shaping up to be a game-time decision again this week, although it was a good sign for his chances of playing that he was able to practice in a limited fashion on Friday after suiting up on Monday night.

On the other side of the ball, safety Tyrann Mathieu is probable to make his return from last season’s torn ACL.
