I don’t have HBO, so I don’t see Hard Knocks when it debuts. (MDS is the official PFT Hard Knocks correspondent. Because unlike me he’s not too cheap to get HBO.)
But I had to see the first episode of the new season, since the show includes Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer watching Pro Football Talk on NBCSN in his office.
So I went to HBO’s website and, lo and behold, the episode has been posted there, free of charge.
If you don’t have HBO or if you haven’t seen it yet and you’re looking for a way to kill time on a Friday afternoon, dial up HBO.com, click on “sports,” and follow your nose.
At about the 11:30 mark, you’ll see Zimmer in his office watching our show, with a bag of Red Man and a giant jug of generic mouthwash. Presumably to take the edge off the Red Man.
So go to your office. (Unless you’re already there.) Grab a clump of tobacco, pull out your giant jug of generic mouthwash, put your feet up, and enjoy the first episode of Hard Knocks.
