All of you fantasy owners out there that picked up Chris Ivory can enjoy the Saints upstart running back for at least another week.
New Orleans declared running backs Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas out after they each missed a third straight day of practice. Ivory should get the majority of carries against the Browns. Cornerback Tracy Porter is also out, while his tag team partner Jabari Greer is questionable despite missing practice all week.
The team also hasn’t announced whether safety Darren Sharper will come off the PUP list to play this week. Sharper practiced, but isn’t saying.
“Sean [Payton] has a good poker face,” Sharper said according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times Picayune. “You could call him Phil Ivey, without a tan.”
With so many injuries in the New Orleans secondary, Browns quarterback Colt McCoy has a chance for another solid game.
And with the Browns secondary on the schedule, Drew Brees has a chance for another explosive performance.
