Washington is again down to three quarterbacks.
Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday was not listed among the players participating in the Redskins’ rookie minicamp Friday, and he has been removed from the 90-player roster, PFT confirmed.
According to John Keim of ESPN.com, Halliday appears to be stepping away from football.
Halliday threw for 11,304 yards and 90 touchdowns in four seasons with the Cougars, the last three of which were with head coach Mike Leach, long a proponent of a pass-heavy offense.
With Halliday departing, Washington has Robert Griffin III, Colt McCoy and Kirk Cousins at quarterback. The club has two rookies trying out this weekend: Hutson Mason (Georgia) and Anthony Neyer (USC).
