Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was in the concussion protocol this week, but made enough progress to get on the practice field Friday.
There haven’t been any setbacks since the team turned in the Friday injury report that listed Hopkins as probable and John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that Hopkins will be on the field as Houston tries to win for the first time this season. Hopkins has 14 catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.
Hopkins’s presence is good news for a Texans offense that will play without left tackle Duane Brown and running back Arian Foster again this weekend. Brown is missing a second straight game with a hand injury and Foster has been out since having groin surgery in August, but signs are pointing toward a return in the near future as Foster has been taking part in recent practices.
