Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger is trying to do all he can despite recently being diagnosed with cancer, but he has decided to give up play calling.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Heimerdinger didn’t think it was fair of him to keep calling plays after he took time off last week to begin treatment, and so he handed over play calling to quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains.
Heimerdinger will attend today’s game against Jacksonville as an offensive consultant, and he helped assemble this week’s game plan. But he is no longer the Titans’ primary play caller.
