Eagles banner not on plane that crashed in L.A.

With a Cowboys banner flown over Eagles practice in Philly, Eagles fans tried to return the favor by flying a banner over Cowboys practice in Oxnard, California. A plane crash kept that from happening.

Contrary to early reports, the plane carrying he Eagles banner didn’t crash. Via NBC Los Angeles, the plane that crashed was carrying a Bud Light banner. The incident kept the plane carrying the Eagles banner from taking off.

The crash happened after the plane swooped down to pick up the banner, following several failed attempts to connect to it. Six witnesses tried to extinguish the fire and/or to remove the pilot from the wreckage, but were unable to get to the pilot or to put out the flames.
