The Eagles won the game, but may have lost much more in a game that was ugly on many fronts.

Despite their 31-21 win over the Texans, the game was marred by injuries with took out Nick Foles (left shoulder), linebacker DeMeco Ryans (Achilles) and guard Todd Herremans (elbow, which is probably his torn biceps).

They were able to survive and improve to 6-2 thanks to an incredible performance by their running game.

They totaled 190 yards on the ground, as things got a little more conservative after backup quarterback Mark Sanchez came out firing, with a 52-yard bomb to Jeremy Maclin on his first pass attempt since December 2012.

Sanchez did just enough, but the injuries and the fact they committed four turnovers could haunt them as the tests get tougher. He finished the day 15-of-22 for 202 and two touchdowns, with two interceptions.

The Texans slipped to 4-5, and had injury problems of their own as well. Running back Arian Foster left with an apparent hamstring problem, and did not return. Cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph (concussion) and Kareem Jackson (knee) also left the game and were unable to finish.
