The Falcons added two undrafted rookies to the roster and waived three others Sunday, with Auburn defensive back Jonathon Mincy and South Dakota offensive tackle Matt Huffer joining the fold, the team said.
A collegiate cornerback, Mincy (5-10, 196) notched 70 tackles (55 solo), defended eight passes and hauled in one interception in 2014, earning second-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches. Huffer (6-6, 300) was a collegiate left tackle.
Mincy and Huffer were two of the 22 players who tried out for Atlanta during the club’s weekend rookie minicamp.
While Mincy and Huffer have joined the roster, the Falcons have parted ways with Tarleton State defensive tackle Chris Brown, UCF cornerback Jordan Ozerities and Ottawa wide receiver Jordan Stangby.
