On offense, the Vikings have two reliable weapons. Neither practiced on Thursday.
Via Judd Zulgad of 1500ESPN.com, receiver Percy Harvin missed another day of practice with an ankle that he says was sprained in three places. It casts real doubt on his ability to play Sunday against the Lions.
Also absent from practice was running back Adrian Peterson, who has an illness. That said, it’s hard to imagine any illness of any kind or any severity keeping Peterson from playing.
The Vikings follow their game against the Lions with a bye week. After that, the Viking launch into a season-killing six-pack to conclude the season, with games against the Bears, Packers, Bears, Rams, Texans, and Packers.
Win or lose on Sunday, a season that not long ago had plenty of promise could soon be going up in Colorado/Washington smoke.
