Not only do the Raiders have to worry about not having won a game in a calendar year, they’ve also become the barometer for other teams’ awfulness.
After his Eagles team got pasted 53-20 last night by the Packers, Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin called it a new low.
“We got our ass kicked,” Maclin said, via Andy Schwartz of CSNPhilly.com. “It’s the National Football League man. The way we played today, it wouldn’t matter if we played Oakland, who hasn’t won a game yet — they would have beat the hell out of us too. We just didn’t play well.
“No disrespect to Green Bay. Great football team. They played great today. But the way we played today, we wouldn’t have beaten anybody.”
Poor Oakland. The Raiders were just sitting there minding their business, losing 16 in a row. They didn’t ask to be dragged into this.
They’re just wondering how to get in on some of it.
