Jets guard Oday Aboushi has been suspended for Week One of the 2015 season.

The NFL announced today that Aboushi has been suspended for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. Aboushi was caught with a small amount of marijuana in his car during a January traffic stop.

“I apologize for my actions and understand the repercussions. This is something I’ve learned from and I’m focused on moving forward,” Aboushi said in a statement.

Aboushi was a 2013 fifth-round pick of the Jets who started 10 games last year. This year he’s competing for a roster spot, and this news won’t make it any easier for him to make the team.
