I’ll admit it -- I don’t know much about the stock market. But I do know a thorough verbal ass-kicking when I see one, and Jon Stewart of The Daily Show applied one to CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Thursday. Speaking in a voice that at times was passionate and faintly cracking with emotion as he grilled Cramer, Stewart made the typically bombastic financial guru come off as a wiseguy trying to reason with the hitman who had been sent to whack him. It was the kind of moment that, if it grows legs, could destroy Cramer’s television career. The entire interview is (or will be) available right here. Though we apologize for the off-topic post, we think it’s important that tough questions be asked about the causes of the mess in which we now find ourselves, and that those responsible for it be held accountable. But, hey, it’s late. I need to go lay down on the mattress that I have stuffed with the money I otherwise would have lost in the market. Sleeping on coins takes some getting used to. UPDATE: Here’s some of it.
