The backup running backs are going to be on the front lines in New York today.

Both Raiders running back Darren McFadden and Giants back Brandon Jacobs are inactive for today’s game with hamstring injuries.

The Giants appear ready to start Peyton Hillis, working in Andre Brown in his comeback from a broken leg in the preseason.

Rashad Jennings is the next man up for the Raiders.

The Giants are at least accustomed to working with reserves, as they’ve done so all season long. Without McFadden, there’s a greater burden on quarterback Terrelle Pryor to be effective as more than just a runner.
