No blackout for Browns

Despite a 1-10 record and little hope for a second win of the season against the 8-3 Chargers, the powers-that-be in Cleveland have found a way to sell enough tickets.

Possibly by buying a bunch of them.

Though the team-issued release doesn’t say whether the Browns or anyone else ponied up the money for the unsold non-premium tickets, the announcement that the game will be televised locally points out that the “Browns will be distributing tickets to the Cleveland Foodbank, the United Way, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, as well as other local organizations.”

Also, WOIO-TV and other establishments will be giving away tickets.

So watch WOIO for an upcoming “watch and win” game. First prize is two tickets to Sunday’s game.

Second prize is 10 of them.
