The Packers still had some interest in restricted free agent tight end Tom Crabtree, even if it wasn’t enough to tender him a $1.3 million contract.
They lost that chance late Friday night, when Crabtree agreed to a deal with the Buccaneers, according to Jason Wilde of ESPNWisconsin.com
While it’s not on the same level as Greg Jennings going to the Vikings, it’s a blow for the Packers.
Crabtree has 18 receptions in three years, but is a good blocker. And unless the Bucs re-sign Dallas Clark, Crabtree is probably the starter in Tampa Bay.
