Rams cornerback Trumaine Johnson didn’t have to pay any price for sleeping through his first practice of training camp, but he might not be as lucky after getting arrested on Friday morning.

Johnson was arrested in Missoula, Montana early on Friday morning on a misdemeanor DUI charge, according to KPAX in Missoula. Johnson was booked into the Missoula county jail at 3:05 a.m. and released after posting a $700 bond about an hour later.

Johnson, a third-round pick last April, played in all 16 games and started three as a rookie. He had 31 tackles and a pair of interceptions, ending the year as the team’s nickel back behind starters Janoris Jenkins and Cortland Finnegan.

Jenkins’ red flags got more attention after the draft and when he was benched by coach Jeff Fisher for a game last season, but Johnson also came into the league with some baggage. He was arrested, tased and charged with obstructing a police officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest during his time at Montana during a post-game incident in which alcohol was involved.
