You can now buy a Ravens Super Bowl ring, one which has a story better than just working for the team that won a football game.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the ring originally given to Ravens receptionist Toni Lekas is being auctioned off by Goldin Auctions.

Lekas didn’t just run into hard times and need the money. This ring was at the bottom of the sea (OK, somewhere in the Chesapeake Bay).

In 2013, Lekas let her boyfriend hold the ring to show it off at a yacht party. But when he was docking his boat, a rope knocked the ring off his finger and into the water. He dove into the water to try to retrieve it, but couldn’t find it. Neither could the scuba diver he hired the next day.

Lukas eventually filed an insurance claim and received a duplicate ring, but when the original was found, the insurance company offered it for auction to recover some money for it.

The ring is 10-karat white gold and has 243 diamonds, making it valuable beyond the story that comes with it. The current bid is at $8,500, with an estimated sale price of over $30,000.

It’s not the first Ravens ring to hit the market. Running back Jamal Lewis received one as a Ring of Honor member, but his was sold for $50,820 after he filed for bankruptcy, and reserve running back Damien Berry’s fetched $43,008 last year.
