As much as it seems a sad thing to chase, it’s also a question that has to be asked weekly, if not daily in Philadelphia.

Thus, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eagles coach Andy Reid will, in fact, retain that title for another week and coach Sunday night against the Cowboys.

If Reid hasn’t been fired prior to this week, and won’t be after an embarrassing loss to an equally playing-out-the-string Panthers team, there’s no reason to think he will before the end of the season.

Then again, the Eagles are on a roll of Survivor-style weekly firings, so the asking of the question is valid. It’s just an unseemly way to go out for a coach who handled things with class for so long.
