The Dolphins will reportedly add some needed help at kicker.

According to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports, the Dolphins will sign Jake Rogers, who was most recently with Cleveland.

Rogers’ addition comes after Dolphins kicker John Potter suffered a hip injury in Saturday’s exhibition vs. Dallas. The Dolphins’ incumbent kicker, Caleb Sturgis, has a groin injury.

In addition to his short stint with Cleveland earlier this offseason, the 27-year-old Rogers has spent time with New Orleans (2011), Tampa Bay (2011, 2012), Dallas (2012), the New York Giants (2013) and Washington (2014). He played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati, where he handled placements, punts and kickoffs at various points.

The Dolphins’ kicking injuries come as the club must pare its roster to 75 players by Tuesday and 53 players by Saturday. The Dolphins’ last preseason game is Thursday vs. St. Louis.
