The Dolphins are hoping to re-sign one of the better defensive linemen potentially available in free agency.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins would like to bring back defensive tackle Jared Odrick, who ranks 31st among PFT’s top 100 prospective free agents.
However, cost will be key in the Dolphins’ decision, Salguero reports. According to the Herald, Odrick’s representatives are confident he can garner at least $6 million per season in free agency, with the defensive lineman’s versatility key to his value.
The No. 28 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the 27-year-old Odrick recorded 29 tackles in 16 games (all starts) last season for Miami. He notched a career-best six sacks in 2011.
