Raiders running back Latavius Murray missed practice Wednesday, and he could end up missing Sunday’s game vs. the Chargers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night that Murray’s foot injury “makes it doubtful for now that he will be able to” play.

Murray has three rushing touchdowns this season and leads the Raiders in carries (40) and yards (172). If he can’t play, rookie DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard will get more than usual share of their work. Fullback Jamize Olawale could also get some touches.

The Raiders might have already been putting together a pass-heavy gameplan. Chargers Pro Bowl cornerback Jason Verrett has a partially torn ACL and is out for the rest of the season, and the loss of Verrett is a significant one for an already struggling Chargers defense.
