Injuries have been an issue for the Bears throughout a disappointing 2014 season.
Now, their kicker is hurting in advance of Thursday night’s game vs. Dallas.
Robbie Gould sat out Tuesday’s practice with a quadriceps injury, Kevin Fishbain of ChicagoFootball.com and other club beat writers reported.
In Gould’s absence, punter Pat O’Donnell did some kicking, Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reported.
According to Bears coach Mark Trestman, Gould had some muscle soreness, per the Tribune. And O’Donnell indicated he believes Gould will be ready for Thursday, as John Mullin of CSNChicago.com noted.
The Bears will hold their final practice of the week on Wednesday, with the injury report to also be released tomorrow. Gould’s participation, coupled with any roster moves from the club, could tell the tale on his ability to play Thursday. O’Donnell would only seem likely to handle extra points and/or field goals in the case of an in-game emergency.
