RUSSELL HAS KNEE TENDONITIS

Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell left practice early on Thursday, due to a case of tendonitis in his right knee. Russell was held out of the final eight plays of practice, and he is expected to play on Sunday against the Panthers. After practice, Russell had ice on his knee, and an electrical stimulation device attached to it. “It’s more precautionary than anything else,” coach Tom Cable said. “We kind of did it just to hold him back. He did a great [job] today so the last eight reps weren’t going to matter.” Running back Darren McFadden continues to miss time with turf toe in the big toes in both feet. His availabilty for Sunday is unknown.
