We noted this week that some members of the Cincinnati Bengals’ coaching staff were planning to jump out of a plane.
As it turns out, the skydiving session was canceled -- but not because the coaches chickened out.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Golden Knights, an Army parachuting team, gave some skydiving tips to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, assistant coaches Kevin Coyle, Jeff Fitzgerald, Darrin Simmons, and former Bengals running back and kick returner Eric Ball, who’s now the team’s director of player relations.
But because of bad weather in the area, the actual skydiving part of the session had to be scrapped. The Enquirer shot some video of the training session, but it’s not quite the same as getting to see Marvin Lewis jump out of a plane. Maybe we’ll get to see that on a nicer day later in the offseason.
