I’m back at U.S. Bank Stadium for PFT Live, which officially opens today. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, someone threw a rock through one of the windows.
The incident happened at some point between a tour that occurred on Tuesday and the discovery of the broken glass Wednesday morning. (Since I didn’t arrive until Wednesday evening, I have a rock-solid -- yeah, I said it -- alibi.)
Surveillance video reportedly exists of the incident, which quite possibly happened when one of many decorative rocks outside the stadium was tossed through one of the many glass panes. Which confirms the old adage (sort of) that people who live in glass houses shouldn’t keep stones on the porch.
The custom-made window won’t easily be swapped out. The window won’t be fixed for 6-8 weeks.
Which sets the stage for an interesting office pool: What will be ready to go sooner, the busted window at U.S. Bank Stadium or J.J. Watt’s back?
