Broncos linebacker and defensive captain DeMarcus Ware has an ulna fracture. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, he is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

That’s good news for the team and the players. Although Ware has become a situational pass rusher, Ware is a key component of the defense.

He has up to $3.5 million tied to sacks, and Ware has 2.0 in only two games. He’ll likely be back in a month in an effort to keep racking them up.

Denver has a short-week Thursday night game on October 13 against the Chargers in Week Six, followed by a Monday night game on October 24 against the Texans.
