Stokley gone in Denver

On September 4, the Broncos placed veteran receiver Brandon Stokley on injured reserve.

Ten days later, the Broncos cut him loose.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reported on Tuesday that the Broncos reached an injury settlement with Stokley, released him from injured reserve. It means that the two sides have agreed on the amount of time that will be required for Stokley to get healthy, and that he’ll be paid to cover that period of time.

It means that Stokley now can sign with another team, if/when he’s healthy.

An 11-year veteran, Stokley owns two Super Bowl rings from his time with the Ravens (in 2000) and the Colts (in 2006).
