Titans safety Marqueston Huff has been suspended for the 2016 season opener for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, the league announced Friday.

Huff played in all 16 games last year and played in 14 as a rookie. He was a fourth-round pick of the Titans in 2014.

Huff’s suspension begins on Sept. 3 and he won’t count on the team’s initial 53-man roster. He can be activated the day after the season opener.
