Todd Bowles finds some help on Falcons staff

The New York Jets are close to an agreement with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles to make him their head coach, according to two people with knowledge of the negotiations. Bowles told ESPN in a text that he was taking the job, but the people told The Associated Press that no agreement had been completed as of late Tuesday night, Jan. 13, 2015. The Falcons are lagging behind some of their colleagues in head coaching searches, and they’re losing more assistants as they go.

According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports, Falcons defensive backs coach Joe Danna is going to the Jets.

Danna and new Jets head coach Todd Bowles worked together with the Dolphins.

While the Falcons could still be just fine if they wait and find the right guy, the challenge of filling a coaching staff gets that much tougher as other teams fill jobs, and coaches opt for security when they can find it.
