Turner calls Woodson “unbelievable”

Our MVP list here at PFT includes four names that won’t surprise you -- Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Chris Johnson -- and one name that might surprise you: Charles Woodson.

But Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner, who’s been watching a lot of film of Woodson this week as his team prepares to play Woodson’s Green Bay Packers, says it should be no surprise that Woodson is in the MVP conversation.

He’s unbelievable,” Turner said of Woodson. “I don’t remember the last time if ever that I’ve seen someone have the year that he’s having. He’s unbelievable. He’s all over the field. He’s playing corner, he’s playing nickel, he’s playing strong safety. He’s going head-to-head on tight ends. He’s making tackles, he’s causing fumbles, he’s intercepting balls. He is all over the place and it’s unbelievable to watch.”

On Sunday things should get even better for Woodson because he gets his second chance to do what NFL cornerbacks have loved doing this season: Play against Jay Cutler.
