Unlike his two predecessors in Minnesota, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer doesn’t have to deal with a hemorrhoid named Harvin. But Zimmer nevertheless has been dealing with a medical condition that can cause even more discomfort.
Zimmer has kidney stones. According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Zimmer underwent a second procedure on Tuesday to remedy the situation. The procedures have now concluded.
“I’m definite,’’ Zimmer said Wednesday regarding his status for Sunday’s game at Tampa Bay.
“[It] was not pleasant at all,” Zimmer said of the procedures, one of which caused him to miss practice on Friday. “[Vikings trainer] Eric Sugarman was talking to the team and I told them to get the video of the procedures that I had done and we’d show the team. I think there would have been some throwing up.”
Who says Zimmer’s too blunt?
