Before taking part in offseason practices, Thompson admitted ''I was in a situation where I didn’t want to be here.’' He added that seeing his teammates buy into Green’s system changed his mind, even though his contract situation — he has a grievance against the Cards over a contract dispute — isn’t completely resolved.
