When it rains, it pours. The Patriots have now lost three inside linebackers (Tedy Bruschi, Ted Johnson, Claridge) for the season. It only means more work for Chad Brown, Mike Vrabel, and Monty Beisel.

Ideally, New England would move Mike Vrabel back to outside linebacker. That would leave Claridge and Monty Beisel competing for a starting job next to Tedy Bruschi. Claridge, a fifth-round pick in 2005, missed most of his rookie season with a shoulder injury.
